The only person who can truly persuade you is yourself. You must turn the issues over in your mind at leisure, consider the many arguments, let them simmer, and after a long time turn your preferences into convictions.

Outlook 2003 TFS Addin

MS Community in Israel has released a free Outlook 2003 plugin for interacting with Team Foundation Server. Haven't had the time to test it yet (my machine already has Outlook 2007) but i plan to take it for a test drive in a VM very soon. (a version for Outlook 2007 is already promised).

The tool allows you to:

  • Create work item directly from email messages
  • Submit and edit work items
  • Execute stored queries
  • Find work items by ids
  • Export stored queries results
  • Send work items data and queries results by mail

This is sure very handy for people who don't spend their day inside VS (or don't have VS at all).

From the description, i'm sure it is not as feature wise as TeamLook but i'm sure is a lot cheaper. :-)

(doesn't require installation of Team Explorer, but obviously it requires that have a CAL to access TFS).
